On 18 October 2026, MoS presented a hands-on workshop with the Erica Synths Bullfrog, led by Jacq Noise at 160 DL Studios, London. The session explored the fundamentals of subtractive synthesis through oscillators, filters, envelopes and patching.
The workshop was designed for people beginning to explore synthesis, and anyone curious about spending time with the Bullfrog. No previous experience was needed.
The session ran from 12:00–14:30, with an introduction to the Bullfrog and the fundamentals of subtractive synthesis, followed by time for developing and recording sounds.
Bullfrog was created by Erica Synths with Richie Hawtin as an instrument for learning synthesis through experimentation, using oscillators, filters, envelopes and patching to explore how electronic sounds are created and shaped.
